Making the concrete blocks from piles of sand and gravel may not be on your “bucket list,” but when those blocks are used to build a safe, loving home for a child who is desperate for a forever family, that mundane task takes on a new significance. Imagine working to transform a farm into a village that will be home to as many as 200 children who were born abandoned. Helping children understand that they are loved so that they can laugh without a care in the world is the backdrop for serving at Door of Hope Village.
Not only does the Door of Hope save infants from abandonment, but it also shows the love of God and provides children with a place to grow up rooted in faith, hope, and love. Building homes is just the beginning. The vision for Door of Hope Village is to rescue abandoned babies and offer those not chosen for adoption a place to grow to adulthood. This will involve building a school, a child development center, and additional facilities in the years to come.
You can offer hope to the hopeless through Baptists on Missions’ partnership with Door of Hope Children’s Mission.
