Church Renewal Journey

Is God calling you? Perhaps Church Renewal Journey is where He is calling you to.

The lyrics of Dan Shutte’s familiar song include this chorus:

“Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart.”

Church Renewal Journey (CRJ) would remind you of this chorus – Lay people who have felt God calling them to hold His people in their hearts and to do something about it. Each time a church reaches out to CRJ and decides to have one of the available weekend’s, a new team of laity is assembled from all over to come together – to love God’s people and further His Kingdom.

Recently, CRJ was hosted at Red Bud Baptist Church in Castalia, NC for an Awakening Weekend. It was obvious upon arrival that the church body was anticipating something big! Excitement was in the air and the Prayer Committee of the church reported that they had been praying every Thursday night for one month before the event. Prayer really is essential to everything Christians do. Without God we cannot do anything, but with Him – the possibilities are unlimited!

Although the expectations were very high, Church General Chari, Lynn Tharrington, stated that “expectations were not only met but highly exceeded”. Lynn along with Pastor Mark Howard commented on how so many of the church members opened up in small groups about things that no one ever heard before and how refreshing the weekend was for all.

This is just a small glimpse on one of the weekends that CRJ offers to any church that feels it may want to have a team come to your church. Our other weekends include: Equipping; Commissioning; Prayer Empowering; Sending; Spiritual Warfare and Turning Point.

Do you hear a voice calling to you? Are you responding: “Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord?” Church Renewal Journey is always looking for new team members. We especially need volunteers that have a heart for preschool, children and students (middle – high school). No training necessary, God will give you what you need and so will we.
