Meeting human needs in Jesus' name
The New England region is richly blessed with natural beauty – from rugged coastline to mountain vistas. Small hamlets, rural farms, and quaint fishing villages give New England its charm. Composed of Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine, the region has a population of over 15.4 million people. Most New Englanders are a hardy people who enjoy the outdoors and are passionate about their sports teams. The majority of New Englanders, though, are spiritually lost. Less than 3% of the population attend an evangelical church. At least 1,000 towns and villages in New England have no evangelical presence. All six New England states consistently appear in Gallup’s top 12 list of the “least religious states.” Despite these daunting statistics, God is at work in New England! People are being discipled and new churches are being planted. God has opened the door for mission teams to play an important part. Check out how your church might be involved!

2. Once you have reviewed the list, pray about which project(s) you might want to respond to.
3. Contact Mark Abernathy (mabernathy@ncbaptist.org ; 919-459-5607) to express interest and get contact information.
4. You will be put in direct contact with a requestor in the New England area to ask any and all questions.
5. If you and the requestor feel it is a good match, set a date with them for your team’s service, and let Mark Abernathy know.
6. You will be sent instructions for securing the project (from the list below) on behalf of your team by registering as team leader.
Church Renovation Projects/Evangelism (NH26-011)
Derry, New Hampshire
Church has inherited a building and needs teams to help with a variety of renovation projects. Will need those with carpentry, drywall, electrical, insulation, painting, and other skills. Requestor can provide a scope of what is needed in order to best prepare the teams for service. Team may be asked to help some toward materials cost if they are able to. Church is also glad to have the team engage in local evangelistic outreach as well if they would like to help with this as well. Team can stay in the church, in church member homes, or in local hotel. Church kitchen is available for team’s use.
